The Pecos County Commissioners Court held its regular session on Monday morning, February 10 at the County Courthouse. The meeting, presided over by county officials, addressed a wide range of agenda items, from infrastructure improvements and grant approvals to community development initiatives.

The Literacy Coalition of the Permian Basin (LCPB) is celebrating a significant milestone in Pecos County as Tiny Tots Learning Center and Fort Stockton ISD’s Day Care achieved 100% registration for their eligible students and siblings in the Dolly Parton Imagination Library (DPIL).

February 8, 1954 – January 27, 2025 Larry Lee McCallister, age 70, passed away on January 27, at his home in Alpine, Texas. Born on February 8, 1954, in Hugoton, Kansas, Larry was the son of Thomas and Dorothy McCallister and the younger brother of Jim McCallister.
