The reason for the season!

Body
I have been kinda down but the last few days my wife and I have been listening to Christmas Hymns and now I am excited about this Christmas season and looking forward to all the joyful events celebrating the birth of the Savior of the world, Jesus Christ, (Acts 4:12). Around 2000 years ago on a clear star-filled night some shepherds were camped out with their flocks when suddenly they were surrounded by a bright light and an angel stood before them. The angel told them not to fear that he had good news for them and also for the whole world. That day someone very special had been born and He was to be the Savior of the world, (Luke 2:8-14). He is Christ the Lord. He was also called Immanuel which means, “God with us.” (Matthew 1:23). Many Biblical statements and prophecies were made about Him. Like, He can bring peace to the World, (Isaiah 9:6&7). He is called the anointed one, (Psalm 2:2). And one of my favorites, (John 1:29) “Behold the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world!” Later there were some wise men that came and worshiped Him, (Matthew 2:1&2). Let us be like those wise men this Christmas season and Worship the King of Kings and Lord of Lords but let us make sure we have made room for Him in our hearts, (John 1:12&3:16, Revelation 19:16), Jesus Christ.

Texas State Parks Mark Centennial with Enhanced Accessibility

Body
In the wake of Texas State Parks celebrating their centennial year in 2023, nearly $2 million in privately raised funds have yielded a wave of accessibility- focused projects and visitor enhancements across the Lone Star State. The projects, initiated and supported by the Texas Parks and Wildlife Foundation (TPWF) in collaboration with private donors, foundations, and corporations, are now in place at many parks, with more expected to roll out in the future.
