The Wittliff Collections at Texas State University celebrated what would have been Stevie Ray Vaughan’s 70th birthday with a special screening of “Jimmie and Stevie Ray Vaughan, Brothers in Blues”, a documentary by filmmaker and Fort Stockton local, Kirby Warnock.

The Fort Stockton Public Library hosted their annual quilting show last week, which ran from Oct 21 to Nov 1. This year, Wanda McGovern won the honor as her work was voted “Best of Show.” According to the library, McGovern began sewing at age 14 and was greatly influenced by her aunt who also made beautiful items.
