Yolanda Davis Ontiveros, aged 78, of Victoria, Texas, passed away on Tuesday, October 22, in Victoria. She was born on June 29, 1946, in Fort Stockton, Texas, to the late Louis R. Davis and Adenlina G. Davis.

Sally was born July 24, 1955inSanAngelo,Texasto Leola I. (Webb) and Johnny Alexander Tollett.

Hector Reyes, of Barstow, California passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 20, at the age of 74, surrounded by his family. Hector was born September 14, 1950, in Alamo, Texas to Vicente and Esperanza Reyes.

The Wittliff Collections at Texas State University celebrated what would have been Stevie Ray Vaughan’s 70th birthday with a special screening of “Jimmie and Stevie Ray Vaughan, Brothers in Blues”, a documentary by filmmaker and Fort Stockton local, Kirby Warnock.

The Fort Stockton Public Library hosted their annual quilting show last week, which ran from Oct 21 to Nov 1. This year, Wanda McGovern won the honor as her work was voted “Best of Show.”
