Today there are so many bad things going on in the world, it is scary. Everyday there are wars and more rumors of more war and everybody building more and more destructive arms. Bigger battleships, bigger bombers, more powerful missiles, why not grow food and seek peace? What does the Bible say is going to happen? Jesus taught about signs of the end times, it was not going to get better but worse, (Matthew 24:3, :21). It also teaches there will be one final big monster battle between evil forces and good forces. The evil forces will be the devil, the antiChrist, the false prophet, the fallen angels and all evil forces. The good forces will be Jesus Christ, His angels and His Bride, The Church, all who have repented of their sins and called upon Jesus Christ to be their Lord and Savior (Ephesians 2:8&9, John 1:12, Titus 2:13). Jesus Christ wins the battle and is declared the victor once and for all. There will be no more battles. The antiChrist and false prophet will be cast into the lake of fire and the Devil bound for a thousand years and eventually judged and cast into the lake of fire, (Revelation 20:2&3). If we have never accepted Jesus Christ we are not on the winning team. It is not too late to make Him your Lord and Savior, (John 1:12&13).

When you ask someone if they are familiar with some of the incredible stories found in the Bible, you will usually get the same response. Adam, Eve, Noah and the Ark, David and Goliath, Daniel and the lions, or the one we’re going to look at today, Jonah and the whale.

As the summer sun blazes on, the Fort Stockton Prowler Volleyball Team is heating up for what promises to be an exciting 2024 season. Under the guidance of Head Coach Jessica Tully- Mitchell, the team has been hard at work, preparing to build on last year’s solid performance and aiming for even greater success.

HIGHSCHOOL ATHLETIC SUMMER CAMPS Fort Stockton High School announced upcoming summer camps for 2024. Swimming sessions are $90 a session, while all other camps are $40 per camp.

The Alpine Cowboys have advanced to the Pecos League Mountain Division Championship after a nail-biting three-game series against the Tucson Saguaros that concluded with an electrifying walkoff victory in extra innings on Saturday night at Kokernot Field.

The Fort Stockton Panther Tennis team began their season with a competitive match against Brownfield this past Tuesday, though they faced a challenging defeat. Despite the outcome, the team showcased their potential and readiness for the season ahead, thanks to their rigorous summer preparation.
