County renews contract with AirMedCare

Nobody wants to be in need of an air ambulance service, but it’s something nice to have when the need arises. The Pecos County Commissioner’s Court on Monday morning renewed a contract with Air Med Care Network, which provides emergency air ambulance service to Pecos County and dozens of counties across Texas and the United States.

Cops searching for missing person

On Nov. 8, 2023, Justin Joseph Urrutia went missing around mile marker 325 off I-10, close to the Sheffield area, after abandoning his vehicle in the pasture. He is a 41-year-old white male, 5-foot-10, 150 pounds, brown hair, and blue eyes, unknown type of clothing. He does have some medical issues and has deep dimples in both cheeks.

The Pecos County Sheriff's Office conducted an extensive search with the help of DPS and the use of all equipment that was made available.

Unfortunately, we were unable to locate him.

Marjorie Nell Morgan

Church service for Marjorie Nell Morgan, age 87, of Muleshoe, Texas, is scheduled for 1 p.m., Friday, Nov. 10, 2023, at Calvary Baptist Church in Muleshoe with Jeff Coffman of Muleshoe officiating. Burial will be in Muleshoe Memorial Park. The family will receive guests on Thursday, Nov. 9, 2023, from 5-7 p.m. at Ellis Funeral Home in Muleshoe.

Mike Allison of Raptor Aerial Services visited the Old Fort on Monday, with Jim Hatcher and Ross Harper in tow. Mr. Hatcher is the President of the Fort Stockton Historical Society and Mr. Harper is the curator of the Annie Riggs Museum.

Fort Stockton Community Theatre reminds everyone that tickets are available for the Tenors Un Limited concert on Monday, Nov. 13, at 7 p.m. (doors open at 6:30). Chevron, the Human Energy Company, is sponsoring the concert and the reception to Meet-and-Greet the Tenors on Sunday evening, Nov. 12, at 7 p.m. at FMH. Tickets may be purchased online at fscommunitytheatre.org with a credit card. Tickets at the door must be cash OR check. Seating is not limited, as the venue for the concert will be Northside Church at 1600 North Gillis.
