Panthers improve to 2-0 with win over Alpine

Marco Garcia threw for 146 yards and a touchdown to Gerry Diaz, Corbin Luna rushed 18 times for 127 yards and two touchdowns and Isiah Velasquez rushed for 72 yards and another score as the Fort Stockton Panthers overcame a slow start to down the visiting Alpine Bucks 27-7 last week at Panther Stadium.

Panthers fall to Odessa High, Permian

Fort Stockton’s Volleyball program traveled to Odessa to take on the Odessa High School Lady Bronchos last Tuesday, with the varsity Prowlers falling to the Lady Bronchos in four sets, 20-25, 25-23, 15-25, and 24-26.

The water well

I heard a story about a far west Texas ranch that consisted of over 38,000 acres and it only had one water well on the whole place. That 2,000 feet deep well was on top of a flat top mountain, and it had a pumpjack on it to pump water. The ranch hands listened for the motor that ran the pumpjack. If it stopped, they were on their way to fix it.
