Fort Stockton put their three-game winning streak on the line on Friday in their district opener at Seminole. Slow starts have been a key element in the Panthers early season losses and that proved to be the case once again against the Indians.

The junior varsity Panthers downed Monohans on the Loboes home floor on Jan. 17 behind a game-high 17 points by Jondrey Reyes.

Buena Vista got off to a slow start in Tuesday’s District 10-1A matchup against Iraan, but in the end, the Lady Longhorns rolled to a 45-25 win in the intra-county rivalry and solidified their secondplace spot in the district with three games to play.

The Prowler Powerlifting train is rolling on. A week removed from a dominating first place finish in Monahans, the Prowlers welcomed area lifters to the Bill and Virginia Williams Special Events Center on Saturday and came away with another dominating win.

Fort Stockton scored 33 points against the Maidens on Jan. 13 in their third district contest of the season.
