Prowlers roll Monahans, fall to Andrews

The Fort Stockton High School Prowlers visited Andrews lasty Friday and, for a while, looked like they would escape with a key district win. But a fourth quarter surge by the Lady Mustangs resulted in a 47-35 loss. Thiara Wislar and Kailyn Reeves, both earned the title of top scorers in the basketball game, delivering standout performances during the match with 12 points each.

Athletic Director/ Head Football Coach Jeremy Hickman tabbed as Coach of the Year In early January, Fort Stockton High School Athletic Director and Head Football Coach Jeremy Hickman received a call from the Joby Flores “33 Lead” Foundation. The call was brief and congratulatory, but not a phone call that was unexpected.

Prowlers suffer hard loss to Seminole

Walking onto the court at the Bill and Virginia Williams Special Events Center last Friday night, the Fort Stockton Prowlers knew they had a formidable task ahead of them. The Seminole Maidens came to Fort Stockton ranked No. 4 in the Class 4A TABC poll and were fresh off a 90-20 win over Andrews. The Maidens were as good as advertised in a 97-24 win over the Prowlers.

Prowlers drop district opener to Greenwood

Fort Stockton High School’s Prowlers girls basketball team entered Tuesday’s district road game at Pecos looking to get back on the winning track after suffering their third straight loss, Friday to Greenwood. The 36-28 setback came on the heels of a 35-28 loss to Midland Christian Jan. 2 and a loss to Crane in the final game of the Monahans Chamber of Commerce Tournament Dec. 30 – all of which were competitive ballgames until late.
