PCMHD is proud to announce the retirement of Donald Smith, who served as Maintenance Supervisor for the Pecos County Memorial Hospital District from April 9, 2018, through March 31, 2026. During his years of dedicated service, Donald played an essential role in maintaining a safe, efficient, and well-functioning environment for patients, staff, and visitors. His commitment, reliability, and hard work have been truly appreciated by all who had the pleasure of working with him. International Dark Sky Week

In celebration of International Dark Sky Week, locations throughout the Big Bend region will be holding special events from April 13-19 that showcase our famous night skies. Events will take place at McDonald Observatory and locations around Alpine, Presidio, Fort Davis, and Terlingua.
