Fort Stockton business owner, Paul DePoorter of Bushes Chicken, hosted his 10th annual charitable Thanksgiving Day meal, inviting the community and travelers to experience a feast that has become a staple for many who travel during the holiday season. DePoorter, a retired Marine Corps veteran, noted that the expansive holiday effort is dedicated to 'giving back to people.' This year marks the 10th anniversary of the tradition, which has been hosted at the current location for eight years.

Pecos County Commissioners Approve Major Property Tax Relief Cemented $6.4 Billion Data Center Deal

In a move aimed at providing significant financial assistance to senior and disabled homeowners while continuing efforts to diversify the local economy, the Pecos County Commissioners Court held its Regular Session on Monday, November 24. The Court passed a landmark resolution providing substantial property tax relief and reviewed progress on a massive data center development.

Midland College & FSISD Partnership

Fort Stockton High School students were given an inspiring glimpse into their future this month as they toured Midland College’s Williams Regional Technical Training Center (WRTTC), the Midland College Main Campus, and the Advanced Technology Center. Through a strong partnership between Fort Stockton ISD and Midland College, both freshman and sophomore students experienced a series of hands-on demonstrations designed to help them make informed and meaningful decisions about their educational and career pathways.
