History comes alive

Starting today, the Historic Fort Stockton’s annual “Living History Day “ returns as an event which is as fun as it is educational. Usually held on the third weekend of October, this year the festivities will be held from Thursday to Friday and will include a variety of exciting guests, from re-enactors celebrating our vibrant military history to a visit from Doug Baum and his Texas Camel Corps.

Fort Stockton Runs for Breast Cancer

Saturday morning, Zero Stone Park in Fort Stockton was a sea of pink as the Stronger Together 5K brought the community together to raise awareness for breast cancer. Organized by Misty Frank, a breast cancer survivor and advocate, the event featured a dove release ceremony and inspirational talks from survivors, setting a powerful tone for the day.

Early voting begins on October 21, for the November 5 General Election to elect the President and Vice President, Members of Congress and of the Legislature, state, district, county and precinct officers.

On October 7, Vicki Lyn Budukiewicz (Solem) (Victoria Lynn) suddenly left this plain. She was a vibrant woman with vibrant hair. She leaves behind brothers, sisters, beautiful nieces, nephews, grands of both and her adoring husband Alex ‘Bud’ Budukiewicz.
