The Fort Stockton High School and Junior High Cross Country teams delivered a strong performance at the Big Spring meet on Saturday, September 28, with athletes across all divisions showcasing their determination and grit. Led by Coach Curtis Bishop, the team demonstrated resilience and skill, building momentum as they head toward their district meet.

Blue Wave Dives into Success at Comanche Invitational

The Fort Stockton Blue Wave Swim Team made an impressive splash at the Comanche Swimming & Diving Invitational, held at their home pool on September 27-28. Under the guidance of Coach Lily Morales Forst, the Blue Wave showcased their dedication and improvement, with many swimmers dropping significant time since last season. The girls’ team finished in second place, while the boys narrowly missed a podium finish, landing in fourth. Overall, the combined efforts of the team earned them second place in the meet.

The Fort Stockton Panther Tennis Team took the courts on Tuesday, September 24, for a highly anticipated second district match against the Pecos Eagles. In front of a home crowd, the Panthers showcased their season-long growth and teamwork, walking away with a resounding 16-3 victory.

“Early detection saved my life,” said Misty Frank. According to the National Breast Cancer Foundation, one in eight Women will be diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime.
Amber Reeves, Misty Frank, and Caitlyn Bennett have been training in preparation for the upcoming Susan G. Komen 3-Day 60 Mile Walk in San Diego California.
