Our team here in Pecos County were proud of the 60 car Trump Train that we held before the election. Former Democrats and regular Republicans joined together on local hometown values. We turned this blue county, Pecos County, two to one red. It was a joyful and hard won battle that ended in victory for the candidates we supported. This included Congressman Tony Gonzales.

The daily Southwest border updates are generating nationwide concern, except in Washington, D.C., where indifference reigns. The latest Department of Homeland Security report showed that in February, more than 100,000 people were either apprehended by or surrendered to federal immigration officials on the U.S.-Mexico border.

In 1927, V.T. Hamlin was working as a poster designer and mapmaker for the oil industry in Iraan. He was stationed in the Yates Field, one of the largest oil fields in the Permian Basin. During this time, he thought about the dinosaurs and other ancient creatures who once roamed the area, and created the comic strip character Alley Oop.

The final authority

Body
We have looked at the sufficiency and clarity of the Bible that make up the first two letters of the acronym SCAN (sufficiency, clarity, authority, necessity) that tell us four important realities of the Bible. Now we look to the authority of the Bible. What we mean is that the Bible declares itself to be God’s Final Word. When we read of the Apostle Paul’s evangelism in Thessalonica and Berea in Acts 17, they give us a clear picture of the authority of God’s Word at work.

Bite into a healthy lifestyle

Body
National Nutrition Month is flying by, but there is still time for your organization to schedule a program by calling the Pecos County Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Office at 432-336-2541. There is no one food, drink, pill, or machine that is the key to achieving optimal health. A person’s overall daily routine is what is most important. That is why, as part of National Nutrition Month, the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics urges everyone to “Bite into a Healthy Lifestyle and Personalize Your Plate.”
