Feb. 19, 1970 Issue: FINANCIAL BOOST -Jaycee-Ette president Carol (Mrs. Dennis) Monger presented a $100 check to John Bilberry, new director of the Fort Stockton Teen Center Tuesday evening. The money, raised by a dance held by the Jaycee-Ettes on New Year’s Eve, will be used for the furniture in the new teen center. Others pictured include Sue (Mrs. Clark) Carpenter, vice-president of the Jaycee-Ettes (at left); Dennis Card, one of the directors of the teen center (above Mrs. Carpenter), and across the top are shown three generations of Hearn men. The Hearns have worked long and hard on the new center most evenings for several months. From left-to-right are Larry Hearn, Larry Hearn Jr., and E. R. Hearn. Card says he hopes other organizations will follow the Jaycee-Ettes, since the teen center is still in need of a lot more furniture, and will open February 28.
