LETTER TO THE EDITOR

Body
Dear Editor, I’d like to give a shout out to an amazing group of young men from DEPCOM Power’s Bakersfield Solar Plant who volunteered at our community food bank on March 23. This crew, led by Alexander Dominguez, unloaded 8400 pounds of produce from WTFB’s Produce Pod, handed out that produce to our clients, and helped us store the rest.

Gratitude and thankfulness are powerful

Body
As we draw closer to the end of the season of Lent and this “not quite yet” time before the celebration of Easter, what might we do, say, or meditate on in these last few days? This might be hard to do for many of us. We know that so many people are hurting, including ourselves right now.
