Student safety in Fort Stockton was at the forefront of the district’s school board meeting on June 30 and after much discussion between all trustees and law enforcement in attendance, Fort Stockton ISD decided to make a significant investment to further protect their students.

The Fort Stockton Independent School District will enter the 2022-2023 school year with five school resource officers – one at each campus with students – via a unanimous approval by the FSISD School Board.

The 2022 Independence Day Parade on July 4 in Fort Stockton was met with heavy rains as it finished its final stretch on Main Street.
