U.S. 23 Congressional candidate stops in Sheffield


Dr. Alma Arrendondo-Lynch, who is running for as a Republican for the District 23 Congressional District, visited Sheffield on Sunday, Sept. 1. She spoke to a crowd of people at the Sheffield Community Center. Lynch describes herself as a strong Christian and Constitutional conservative. She supports tax breaks, a strong military and law enforcement, building the border wall, Second Amendment rights and protecting the unborn. As a property owner in Concan, she stands for property rights. She said she is against socialism and unbridled Federal bureaucratic rules. She will be running against opponents Tony Gonzales, Paul Reyes, and Ben Van Winkle for the Republican primary election on March 3, 2020. (Kim Dutton/For The Pioneer)
