Mary F. Gross, 90, of New Castle passed away in her daughter’s home in Fort Stockton following an extended illness She was born March 29, 1927 in Cadwell, GA, a daughter of the late Joel E. and Julia F. (Johnson) Watson.
A homemaker, Gross enjoyed taking care of her family, and making their house a home. She was active member of the First Apostolic Church of New Castle for the past 54 years, where she had also served as a Sunday School teacher.
She leaves to cherish her memory daughter Shirley (Vernon) Munson of Ft. Stockton; a son, Randy V. (Judy) Gross of New Castle; four grandchildren, Philip (Michele) Munson of Phoenix, Andrew (Christina) Gross of Luther, OK, Hannah Munson of Phoenix, and Alicia (Anthony) Pulido of Shelbyville; great-grandchildren Ethan, Halie, Nolan, and Ava Gross, all of Luther, OK; Patrick Murphy of Denver; Jayden Munson of Ft. Stockton; Peyton Munson of Phoenix, Alan Pulido of Shelbyville, and Lincoln Munson of Phoenix; and nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband George M. Gross in 1997; a sister, Nancy Nelms; and two brothers, Dan Watson and L. Franklin Watson.
