Luis “El Indio” Hernandez of Fort Stockton passed away Sunday, Dec. 3, 2017, in Odessa at the age of 73 years. He was born on April 29, 1944, in Fort Stockton to Salvador Hernandez and Rosa Gonzales.
Hernandez is survived by his son Manuel Hernandez; step-son Shane Bailey; his daughters, Estrella Moriera, Stormy Bailey, and RosaAnna Hernandez; his brothers, Alonzo Gonzales, Rodolfo Gonzales, Orlando Gonzales, and Henry Gonzales; his sisters, Enriqueta Martinez, Ninfa Colunga, Diana Serrano, and Maria E. Gonzales; his fourteen grandchildren; and fifteen great grandchildren.
Hernandez is preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation will be on Thursday, Dec. 7, 2017, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. with rosary beginning at 7 p.m. at Heritage Funeral Home in Fort Stockton. Graveside service will be on Friday, Dec. 8, 2017, beginning at 10 a.m. at Saint Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Fort Stockton.
