Delfino Olivas of Big Spring passed away Thursday, Nov. 9, 2017 in Midland at the age of 89 years. Olivas was born on Dec. 25, 1927, to Nestor and Delfina Olivas in Mexico.
Delfino is survived by his sons, Rafael Olivas and wife Dolores Davila of Temple, Reinato Olivas of Big Spring, Rodolfo Olivas of Big Spring, and Ramiro Olivas of Odessa; his daughter, Ramona Garcia and husband Javier Garcia Sr., of Odessa; his brothers, Manuel Olivas and Basilio Olivas; his five grandchildren; and his thirteen great-grandchildren.
Olivas is preceded in death by his parents; his wife Rosita Hernandez Olivas, his six brothers, and his four sisters.
Visitation was on Saturday, Nov. 11, 2017, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Heritage Funeral Home in Fort Stockton. Visitation was Sunday, Nov. 12, 2017, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Heritage Funeral Home in Fort Stockton. Rosary was at 7 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 12, 2017 at Heritage Funeral Home. Funeral service were on Monday, Nov. 13, 2017, beginning at 10 a.m. at Saint Joseph Catholic Church in Fort Stockton.
