Dale Wayne Burger, age 59, of Allen, TX passed away Dec. 5, 2017. He was born Aug. 23, 1958, in Austin to Dorthea Lovell (Foster) Huelster and Utah Carrol Burger, Sr.
Burger was a Fort Stockton HS graduate, National Honor Society member, and All-American Swimmer. he married his first wife and mother of his children, Janis Mae Word, in 1981; she passed away in 2000. On July 31, 2013, he married Debbie Lynn Clark in Lucas, TX. Burger worked for Texas Instruments for seventeen years. One of his projects was on the missile guidance systems. He was a dedicated Boy Scout Master of Troop 358.
Burger is survived by his mother, Dorthea Huelster of Fort Stockton; wife, Deborah Lynn Burger of Allen; children, Nicholas Burger of Anna, TX, Kevin Burger and Travis Burger, both of Allen; step-children, Heather Abshire and husband Adam, and Timothy Adams; grandchildren, Gavin and Grayson Abshire; siblings, Keenan Andrew Burger, William Edwin Huelster, Ricky Joe Huelster, Holly Leeann Murray, and Brian Lee Huelster; and many other loving relatives and friends.
Burger is preceded in death by his father, Utah Carrol Burger, Sr.; beloved step-father, Edwin H. Huelster; first wife, Janis Mae Word; and brother, Utah Carrol Burger, Jr.
A funeral service was held at 10 a.m., Dec. 9, 2017 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home, 2525 Central Expressway N., Allen, TX 75013. Interment followed at Willow Wild Cemetery in Bonham, TX. The family received friends during a visitation being held from 7 p.m. until 9 p.m., Friday evening, Dec. 8, 2017 at the funeral home.
