The Pecos County Commissioners’ Court met in regular session on Monday, Sept. 11, where they held another public hearing regarding its 2018-2018 tax rates and discussed other routine agenda items.
The commissioners unanimously approved the proclamation to acknowledge Oct. 1 through 7 as National 4-H Week. They also approved a request from the 83 District Attorney for funds to send officers to a TAPE It meeting, in which they would learn proper evidence capture procedures.
The court took no action on allocating funds for the repair of a fire truck for the Sheffield Fire Department, as they were currently waiting on an estimate. Funds for the repair of a vertical carousel at the Pecos County Sheriff’s Office were approved, along with the solicitation of bids for fuel to be received until Oct. 4.
The court set dates for the County Clean-Up, stating it would take place from Oct. 10 through Oct. 27. A request from Pecos County Water Control and Improvement District 1 to cross Hallford Lane with a pipeline was also approved.
Finally, the commissioners approved the call for bids for a roof replacement and removal of a skylight at the Imperial Library until Oct. 4.
