West Texas is a long way from The State Fair of Texas, but that doesn't prevent fried foods from pleasing crowds here in Pecos County. Local church Torre Fuerte booked the Cliff’s Food Wagon of Odessa to show up to Nuñez Park for their lively Music Festival Saturday, Sept. 30.
Putting the "fun" into funnel cakes, Cliff's toppings include everything from Nutella to bacon. Their out-of-the-box funnel cake flavors include berry creamy, Texas turtle, German chocolate, cookies and cream, banana caramel cream, s’mores, tres leches, and others.
Cliff's “sweet soul” flavor is a funnel cake that’s paired with chicken tenders and honey butter sauce, which Pastor Victor Lopez of Gracepoint raves, “It tastes delicious.”
Cliff’s has obtained much popularity in the area for having a unique variety of funnel cakes, but the food truck also serves smoked turkey legs, sausage on a stick, roasted corn, fried Twinkies, fried Oreos, fried Snickers, and more.
The staff of Cliff’s Food Wagon said it was their first time to do an event in Fort Stockton and would love to come back if invited. If your business or organization would like to bring Cliff’s back to town, call owner Cliff DeArmond at (432) 557-3407.
