A perfect season is now just one game away for the junior varsity Panthers.

Fort Stockton secured five turnovers on defense and Sergio Ramirez threw a season-best three passing touchdowns in the Panthers 32-6 victory.

Rylan Nunez, Fabien Silva, Jayden Ramirez, Johnny Brown, and Ejay Ortiz each had a takeaway during the rout of the Eagles.

“I’m super proud of our boys,” coach Zack Roberson said. “Defensively we swarmed all night and offensively we started fast and furious.”

Ortiz made his mark on both sides of the ball for the Panthers as he’s done all season. Ortiz rushed for a touchdown, caused a safety along with teammate Luis Ramos, and secured a fumble recovery.

On offense, Ramirez connected with Alonso Galindo for two of his three TD tosses and another was hauled in by Darien Renteria.

Leeland Ibarra also scored a rushing touchdown for Panthers, capping a well-rounded offensive performance.

Silva was a ball hawk on defense as he finished the game with an interception and forced a fumble. Nunez added an INT in the win.

Zeke Soto and Ethan Jimenez each forced a fumble while Jayden Ramirez and Johnny Brown recovered one fumble apiece.

The Panthers will take their 9-0 record into their final game of the season at home against Fabens, on Thursday, Nov. 3 starting at 6:30 p.m.
