We moved around a lot when I was younger, and sometimes it was hard for our family to find a nearby Church. One annual event that impacted my life was when we spent the summers with my mother’s parents. We always went to church, and it was there in those little Sunday School classes, and Church I learned about God. But I probably learned a lot more from the Vacation Bible Schools the church had during the summer.

I now realize the effort my grandmother and mother made to see that my little brother and I were there to learn about God. It was not till age 27 that the pieces came together for me. I believed in God, and I believed the Bible was the word of God. I also believed that God loved me and that He sent His only begotten Son to die for my sins on the cross, (Romans 5:8, John 3:16).

One night a pastor explained to me that my sins were separating me from God, (Romans 3:23, 6:23). I was so sorry for all my sinful things I had done, and I asked God to please forgive me, (1 John 1:9). I called upon Jesus to be my Lord and Savior that night. Something wonderful happened that night that has changed my life forever, (John 5:24). I hope you have experienced something like that in your life. Trusting in Jesus!
