Sarah Lucia Swonke, 92, passed away peacefully on May 19, 2023 at Tomball Regional Medical Center with her sons by her side. Sarah was born in Fort Stockton, Texas, on Sept. 24, 1930, to Carlos and Lucia Urias. The oldest of five children, she grew up in Fort Stockton but spent time in Italy, Germany, and New Mexico before moving to Tomball in 1958. 
Sarah is survived by her two brothers, Carlos Urias Jr. and his wife Mary of Guymon, Oklahoma, and Benny Urias of Fort Stockton; her three sons, Michael and fiancé Cindy Chamberlain of Denton, Texas; Tony, of Tomball, Texas; Carlos and his wife Liza Valenzuela of Austin, Texas; her six grandchildren, Jenna Rank, Evan Swonke, Ellie Swonke, Emily Myers, Olivia Swonke, and Andrew Swonke; and her three great-grandchildren, Everly Rank, Isla Swonke, and Luke Swonke.  

She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Rose Mary Vasquez, and her brother Pete Urias. 
A Rosary service took place place at St. Anne Catholic Church in Tomball at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday, May 25, 2023. A memorial mass took place on Friday, May 26, 2023 at 10:30 a.m., also at St. Anne Catholic Church.
