Ronald (Ronnie) Gene Wilson born April 6, 1954, to Dempsey Gene Wilson and Johnnie Perl Kinman in Monahans, Texas. Ronnie went to be with our Lord on Saturday, March 11, 2023. 

Ronnie was a published poet and song writer. He wrote and dedicated a poem for the children killed in the Oklahoma City bombing that is displayed at the memorial site in OKC. He was awarded multiple awards for his writings, including a certificate signed by former Governor Mark White for a poem written and dedicated to the State of Texas. He has had books published of his poems and tapes recorded of his songs. 

He was preceded in death by his mother and father, and his beloved wife Kay Diane Wilson. He was followed in death by his sister Cathy Coleman. 

He is survived by his daughter Michelle Gonzalez and two granddaughters Cassandra and Cheyenne Flores all of Fort Stockton. He is also survived by his eight brothers and sisters: Robert Wilson of Fort Stockton, Jeanette (Terry) Brannon of Fort Stockton, James Wilson of Fort Stockton, Sheila (Steve) Tachney of Granbury, Texas, Denise (Ruben) Castillo of Abilene, Texas, Oscar (Irene) Wilson of Abilene, Judy (Glen) Haynes of Mesquite, Texas, John Wilson of Bellmead, Texas, and brother-in-law Dennis Coleman of Fort Stockton,, along with many nieces and nephews. 

Memorial will be scheduled at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to Eternity Funeral Home.
