Morris Gregg Brannon, 83, of Fort Stockton, Texas passed away on Feb. 13, 2023, in San Angelo, Texas.

Funeral services will take place at 2 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 16, 2023, at East Hill Cemetery in Fort Stockton, with Pastor Kevin Johnson of Apostolic Church, officiating. Arrangements are by Heritage Funeral Home of the Big Bend.

Morris was born in Abilene, Texas to Fred and Alice Brannon on July 31, 1939. He went to school at Abilene High School. He married Dolores Anglin in 1958 in Abilene. They had two sons, Terry, and David Brannon. He married Carlie Gladden in 1966 in Abilene. They had one son, Michael Brannon.

Morris moved to Fort Stockton in 1966 and worked in the oilfield. In 1971 he went to work for Northern Natural Gas, at Puckett Plant, where he worked until his retirement in 2008.

He was a very hard worker and always provided for his family. He spent many years as a member of the Apostolic Church in Fort Stockton. He was an avid reader and loved spending time with his grandchildren.

Morris is preceded in death by parents, Fred and Alice Brannon; son, David Brannon; brother, Paul Brannon; sister, Bobby Markum, and great grandson, Graysen Davis.

Morris is survived by sons, Terry (wife Jeanette) Brannon of Fort Stockton; Michael Brannon of San Angelo; brother, Monroe Brannon of Abilene; grandchildren, Rachel Moyer and Teri Parker of Port Orchard, Washington; Natalie Davis and Allison Brannon of Fort Stockton; great grandchildren Alyssa, Caleb, Jaiden Moyer and Morgen, Madisen, Merci, Meaghen, Miles Parker of Port Orchard, Washington and Briggen Davis of Fort Stockton.
