Marylou Carrasco Benavides, 64, of Fort Stockton, passed away on Tuesday, June 27, in Fort Stockton. 

Prayer Service was held on Sunday, July 2 at 6 p.m. by Pastor Jesus Guevara and Rosary recited at 7p.m. at Eternity Funeral Home Chapel. 

Funeral Service was held on Monday, July 3 at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish – St. Joseph Catholic Church, with Father Fransis Njoku officiating. Burial followed at the St. Joseph Fort Stockton Catholic Cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted to Eternity Funeral Home. 

Marylou was born in Fort Stockton to Ricardo Sr. and Alicia Carrasco on Monday, October 13, 1958. She was a homemaker who enjoyed cooking for her family and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She loved to make flower arrangements and enjoyed watching her novelas.  

Marylou is preceded in death by her parents Ricardo Sr. and Alicia Carrasco, her brothers Johnny and Oscar Carrasco, her son Guadalupe Benavides Jr., and her great grandchild Angelique Ronquillo. 

Marylou is survived by her husband Guadalupe Benavides Sr., her son Michael (Luly) Benavides of Odessa, her daughters both of Fort Stockton, Marycela (Ismael) Ochoa, Cristina Benavides (Sonny), her brothers Richard (Marylou) Carrasco Jr. of Odessa,  Angel (Liz) Carrasco of Midland, Tony Carrasco of Fort Stockton, her sisters Norma Rojas and Elva (Bobby) Gutierrez of Fort Stockton and Olga (Gabriel Sr.) of Midland,  She is also survived by her grandchildren Jessi and Jason Benavides, Yarissa (Thomas) Ochoa, Yaned (Madison) Ochoa, Yureima (Aaron) Ochoa,  Abel and Alex Zuniga and nine great grandchildren along with numerous cousins, aunts and uncles that she adored.  

The pallbearers were Robert Rojas, Paul Rojas, Gabriel Carrillo Jr., Isaiah Carrillo, Jonathan Carrillo and Henry Rubio.  

Honorary pallbearers were Abel and Alex Zuniga.
