At 2:30 a.m. on April 15, 2021, Louise Graves took her last breath on earth, and was reunited with her husband of over 70 years in heaven.

Louise was born on May 20, 1930, in Seagraves, Texas, and moved to Sweetwater, Texas, where she grew up and graduated high school before going off to nursing school at Hardin Simmons in Abilene, Texas. She met the love of her life and husband of over 70 years, Royce Lee Graves, and was married in 1948.

Together they traveled the country when he started his career with Sun Oil Company. They had three beautiful daughters, Janie, Daphne, and Anna. They settled in Fort Stockton, Texas, in 1965, where they called home for over 40 years.

Louise was an active member of Eastern Star for over 50 years. She was a devout Christian, and attended First Baptist Church in Fort Stockton where she enjoyed singing in the choir every week.

Louise and Royce spent their Golden Years in San Angelo at the Baptist community. Louise was preceded in death by her husband, Royce Lee Graves. She is survived by daughter Janie Lee (Graves) Wood and husband Lewie of San Angelo, Texas; daughter Daphne Lynn (Graves) Warner of Hillsboro, Texas, daughter Anna Lorraine (Graves) Hernandez and husband Luis of Alpine, Texas; grandson Lewie Shayde Wood and wife Rebecca of Weatherford, Texas; granddaughter Kendell Lene (Wood) Blake and husband Wade of Yancey, Texas; grandson David Paul McCulloch and wife Cheri of Crawford, Texas; granddaughters Rachele Page McCulloch of Crawfordsville, Ind., Lora Joyce (McCulloch) Frailey and husband Joey of Midland, Texas, and Sidney Hernandez of Alpine; and eight great grandchildren, Tate, Glenna, Dylon, Kalysta, Maranda, Kaleb, Aalayiah, and Jianna.

Pallbearers were Lewie Wood, Shayde Wood, David McCulloch, Dylon Frailey, Joey Frailey, and Wade Blake, with honorary pallbearers Tate Wood and Kaleb Blake. Visitation was April 21, 2021, at Shaffer Funeral Home in San Angelo. Funeral services were held April 22, 2021, at Miles Cemetery, with Hospice Chaplain Mike McCravey officiating.
