Lionel Garza, 65, passed away at his residence after a lengthy illness. He was born April 29, 1957 in Reeves County to Grabriela Montez and Albino Garza.

Lionel held a long and successful career in law enforcement in various west Texas communities. Along the way, he made lifelong friendships. He helped raise his many children and loved them all unconditionally. He is now resting eternally and free of pain, leaving behind treasured memories and family and friends that will miss him tremendously.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Grabriela Montez. He is survived by his brothers and sisters: Carlos Garza, Albino Jr. Garza, Rachel Aguirre, and Victoria Garza, by his children: Anysia Aragon, Abby Rice (Tyler), Joanna Garza (Wayne), Josiah Garza (Marisol), Anthony Figueroa, Sarah Garza, Anily Garza, Kayla Garza, and Hailey Garza; his grandchildren: Anthoni Aragon, Ethin Willis, Ocie Witcher, Silvano Witcher, Grabriela Witcher, Harper Rice, Madilynn Phelps, Wyatt Rice, and Kathryn Figueroa and by many more extended and loved family members to which he was very grateful for.
