As a professional planner, one of his great loves in his personal life was to plan the ultimate vacation and travel with his wife and family. He had a passion for running, and completed a life-long goal of finishing a 26.2 mile full marathon and a 13.1 mile half marathon. He didn’t stop there, and completed the Rouge Orleans, a 126.2 mile team relay race from Baton Rouge, Louisisana, to New Orleans, Louisiana.

His favorite past times included watching movies, with science fiction as his favorite genre, working on puzzles, and playing games with friends and family. He was a great handyman, and used his knowledge to complete many projects he dreamed up around their home, including their backyard oasis where many loved to relax and enjoy. He was a faithful Christian throughout his life, most recently serving as deacon at the Boerne, Texas, Church of Christ. His love of the Lord and musical talent led him to his favorite way to serve as a song leader leading the congregation in worship.
