Ignacio H. Chavira, Jr,, 63, of Fort Stockton, Texas, passed away on Wednesday, Dec. 13, 2023, in Midland, Texas. Most people knew him as “Jr.”

Visitation was at 5 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 19, 2023, at Eternity Funeral Home in Fort Stockton, and the Rosary will follow at 7 p.m. A Memorial Mass will be held Wednesday, Dec. 20, 2023, at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish - Saint Joseph’s Catholic Church. Arrangements have been entrusted to Eternity Funeral Home, Fort Stockton.

Jr. was born in Chihuahua, Mexico to Ignacio Sr. and Aurora Chavira on April 26, 1960. He graduated from Fort Stockton High School in 1979.

Jr. was a successful entrepreneur and business owner for many years, and people knew him for his expertise in design and his passion in floral. He also had a love for selling furniture and meeting customers and sold furniture in Fort Stockton and Midland for many years. He was an active member of the catholic church, teaching RCIA and volunteering his services to make the church look beautiful.

Jr. was a loving husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle, and friend. He worked hard to support his family and loved spending time with friends while enjoying Italian cream cake.

Jr. is preceded in death by his father, Ignacio Chavira, Sr. and his mother, Aurora Chavira.

Jr. is survived by his daughters Amanda Lopez and husband Ector Lopez of Midland, Texas and Lara Jones and husband Matthew Jones of Granbury, Texas, and his former spouse, Linda Ramirez of Midland, Texas; Brother, Mario Chavira of Freeport, Texas and sisters Herlinda Villesca of Lake Jackson, Texas, and Juanita Holland of Lubbock; Grandchildren Caleb Lopez, Patrick Jones, a great-grandson, numerous nieces, nephews and loved ones.
