Guillermo R. Olivas entered into rest on March 15, 2021. He was born on Jan. 4, 1946, to Juan and Maria Olivas. Guillermo was preceded in death by his parents, Juan and Maria Olivas; Juliana Bursiaga, Julian Olivas, Francisco Olivas, and Rosendo Olivas.

Guillermo is survived by his wife, Viola P. Olivas of Fort Stockton, Texas; his son Abel Olivas and wife Ceci; granddaughter Melissa of El Paso, Texas; his sisters Teodora Contreras of Saragosa, Texas, Antonia Hernandez of Saragosa, Ramona Mireles of Crane, Texas, Siquia Olivas of Clovis, N.M., Lonjina Zapata of Morton, Texas, and Lucy Olivas of Saragosa; his brothers Jesus Olivas of Roswell, N.M., Lazaro Olivas of Roswell, Manuel Olivas of Van Horn, Texas, and Timoteo Olivas of Fort Stockton, Texas.

Pallbearers are James Marquez, Juanito Castillo, Eddie Olivas, Beto Olivas, Jesus Olivas, and Junior Zapata.

Honorary pallbearers are Hilda Ramirez, Myra Taylor, Nancy Martinez, Sylvia Flores, Erica Armendariz, and Angie Gomez.

The visitation will be held from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. on Thursday, March 18, 2021, at Heritage Funeral Home. The funeral service will be at 2 p.m. on Friday, March 19, 2021, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Downtown Campus. Burial will follow at 4 p.m. at Balmorhea Cemetery in Balmorhea, Texas.
