Our beloved father Felipe Galindo Arcides Sr., 84, of Fort Stockton, Texas was called into eternal rest on March 16, 2023.

Visitation was from 12-7 p.m. on Tuesday, March 21, 2023, with a Rosary recited at 7 p.m. at the Heritage Funeral Home of the Big Bend 301 N. Main St. Fort Stockton, Texas. Funeral Mass took place at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, March 22, 2023, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish-St. Joseph’s Catholic Church with Rev. Fr. Francis Njoku, officiating. Burial followed at East Hill Cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted to Heritage Funeral Home of the Big Bend.

Felipe was born in Fort Stockton, Texas, to Manuel Galindo Arcides and Maria Mata Galindo on Nov. 1, 1938. Felipe lived in Leon Farms until his teenage years. Felipe attended school in Fort Stockton. Felipe worked for the Sanitation Department for the City of Fort Stockton for many years before his retirement. Felipe was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church.

Felipe is preceded in death by his parents Manuel G. Arcides Sr. and Maria M. Arcides; brothers Manuel Arcides Jr., and Epifanio Gonzales Sr.

Felipe is survived by his loving wife Maria Y. Arcides; daughter Delma Bernal and husband Ruben; sons Felipe Arcides, Jr. and wife Norma; Orlando Arcides and wife Belia; Grandchildren RJ Bernal and wife Miranda; Ruby Bernal and fiancé Sergio Guardiola; Bryant Arcides; Reba B. Carreon and husband Daniel; Alec Arcides; Raquelle Bernal, and Jaden R. Arcides; Great-grandchildren Addison Mae, Jocelynn Bree, Madilyn Amalie, Michael Jon (Bubba), Jayant Bryce, Landon Bailey, Kolton Jase, Maximus Daniel, Collins McKenzie and Alyviah Grace.
