Eva Lynn Kish (nee Hoffpauir), 78, of Austin, Texas passed away on June 8, 2023. Eva was raised in Fort Stockton, and graduated from Fort Stockton High School in 1963. She attended Texas Western College (now University of Texas - El Paso) in 1963-64, until she paused her education to marry James (Jim) Carl Kish, of Minneapolis, Minnesota and raise their children.

Eva is survived by her daughter, Laura Lee (James) Rogers of Santa Rosa, California; her son, Randall James (Lori) Kish, of Austin, Texas, as well as her granddaughter, Austin Lindsay Rogers and grandsons, Bennett James Rogers and Gavin Flanagan. She is also survived by her sister-in-law, Eledene Amudson (Norm) of El Paso, Texas, and nieces Katheryn and Michelle Hoffpauir of Ruidoso, New Mexico and El Paso, and her great-niece Jessica Helton of El Paso.

She is preceded in death by her beloved parents - father Hugh Hiram (Dean) Hoffpauir and mother Melba Marie Hoffpauir (nee Comeaux) of Kaplan Louisiana and Fort Stockton, Texas; her beloved brothers Herman Hugh Hoffpauir and Charles Emanuel Hoffpauir of El Paso and Alvord, Texas; her beloved great-nephew Nicholas Helton, of El Paso, and Jim Kish, of Henderson, Nevada, her former husband, the father of her children, and good friend.

Eva’s life centered around her family, her faith, and her friends. She became a Travel Agent in 1979, and as a cruise specialist, sailed aboard many of the worlds’ greatest ships to wonderful places. Eva made good friends everywhere she went, around the country and around the world. She especially loved being a grandma to Austin, Bennett, and Gavin. She rededicated her life to Christ in 2021, being baptized with her best friend since childhood, Jan Evans (nee Beene) and her daughter, Annette.

A celebration of Eva’s life will be held at Great Hills Baptist Church in Austin, Texas on Saturday, Nov. 25, 2023 at 10 a.m. (Address: 10500 Jollyville Road., Austin Texas 78759). Reception immediately following.

Eva’s ashes will be interred at Saint Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery in Fort Stockton, Texas, beside her parents, Hugh and Melba, at a later date.
