Elizabeth Ann Ford, 83, of Peoria, Ariz., passed away April 8, 2021.

She was born to the late Russell and Ruby Wilson on May 30, 1937, in Iraan, Texas.  Elizabeth graduated from Iraan High School in 1955.

She married the late Floyd “Bud” Ford in 1962, and they called Bakersfield, Texas, home before relocating to Fort Stockton, Texas, in 1973. Elizabeth moved to Arizona in 2005 to be close to her oldest child after the passing of her beloved husband in December 2004.

Elizabeth is survived by her two children, Janice Kevan of Palmer, Alaska, and Laine Ford of Peoria, Arizona. She is also survived by one granddaughter, six step grandchildren, and an extended family of loved ones and friends.

Elizabeth was a proud Texan, and loved spending time with people and sharing stories of her life in Texas. She truly enjoyed making others laugh. After spending years caring for her own children as a stay-at-home mother, Elizabeth continued to care for children for many years through the Mother’s Day Out program at the First United Methodist Church and at a local daycare center in Fort Stockton.

Visitation will be held on Friday, April 23, 2021, at 10 a.m. at the Heritage Funeral Home of the Big Bend. Graveside service will follow at 11 a.m. at the East Hill Cemetery in Fort Stockton.
