Sixto R. Olivas Fort Stockton, TX Sixto R. Olivas, 74, of Fort Stockton, Texas went with our Lord on Thursday, April 5, 2012, at Medical Center Hospital, after a 4 year long battle with Leukemia. He was born March 28, 1938 in Barrancos de Guadalupe, Mexico to Jesus J. Olivas and Julianna R. Olivas. He was a dedicated family man who worked hard as a Farmer and Rancher, which fortunately happened to be his passions in life. Anytime you were around Sixto, he would share one of his many wise tales full of his own character. His energy thrived around his family, but mostly around children. We love and cherish the moments we shared with our beloved “Welo”. He will be deeply missed. He is preceded in death by his sons Jorge Luis Olivas, and Daniel T Olivas, as well as his sister, Natalia O. Lopez, and parents. He is survived by his wife Ramona T Olivas of Fort Stockton; son Epifanio “Piffy” Olivas of Fort Stockton; son Jesus “Chuy” Olivas and wife Berta of Odessa; daughter Josie “Pepa” Gomez and husband David of Fort Stockton, Grandchildren (8) Angelica Olivas; Jacoby Olivas and wife Meagan; Michael Gomez and wife Kori; Savannah Palma and Husband Manuel; Keena Olivas; Cassie Olivas; Justine Olivas; and Maggie Olivas. Great Grandchildren (3): Davyn Gomez; D’anthony Gomez; and Mia Olivas. The viewing will be held from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday, April 8, 2012, at Heritage Funeral Home in Fort Stockton. A Funeral Service was held at 1 p.m. Monday, April 9, 2012, at Seventh Day Adventist Church in Saragosa, Texas with Brother Herman Tarin officiating. Interment will follow at Saragosa Cemetery.
