William “Bill” Alfred Condit, known to most as “Cowboy,” passed away on April 9, 2023, in Fort Stockton, Texas. He was born Sept. 2, 1951, in Marlow, Oklahoma, to Royce Edward and Bobby Nell Harrell Condit.
He grew up in Duncan, Oklahoma, and was a 1969 graduate of Duncan High School.

Leilani A. Flores passed into the arms of the Lord on Monday, March 20, 2023, at a Houston hospital. She was 57. She was born on Aug. 14, 1965, in Beaumont, Texas to Lucy Valdez and Lasaro Flores.
Leilani grew up in the Beaumont area and attended Fort Stockton High School where she graduated with the class of 1983. While in high school she discovered her creative and artistic side; learning how to play the trumpet and French horn.

Thelma Ramirez, 64, of Fort Stockton, Texas, passed away in Midland, Texas, on March 15, 2023.
Thelma was born in Ozona, Texas, to Santiago B. and Guadalupe Cantu on Sept. 23, 1958. She is the oldest of 11 brothers and sisters. She graduated from Fort Stockton High School in 1977.
Ronald (Ronnie) Gene Wilson born April 6, 1954, to Dempsey Gene Wilson and Johnnie Perl Kinman in Monahans, Texas. Ronnie went to be with our Lord on Saturday, March 11, 2023.
Elena Peña Gallego, 94, a long-time resident of Alpine, passed away peacefully in her sleep on March 8, 2023. Born in Fort Stockton, Texas, on Aug. 18, 1928, to Martín Peña and Cecilia Paredes Peña, she was the third of four surviving children - and the last of her generation.
Elizabeth “Beth” Ivy, 76, of Fort Stockton, Texas passed away on Freb. 25, 2023, in San Angelo, Texas.
A celebration of life took place at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 28, 2023, at First United Methodist Church in Fort Stockton, with Ed Williamson officiating. Arrangements are by Heritage Funeral Home of the Big Bend in Fort Stockton.
