Milagros “Mawmaw Milly” Phillips passed away peacefully on Tuesday, Nov. 8, 2022 at the age of 77. She was born on May 7, 1945, in San Juan, Puerto Rico.
Milly was proceeded in death by her grandson, Hayden and is survived by her children, Melissa and her husband, Bo; Andre and his wife, Constance; Wayne and his wife, Kim; Davey and his wife, Paige; along with her 14 grandchildren.
Virginia Myrl Slentz left her Earthly home to join her Heavenly Father on Nov. 7, 2022 at the age of 95.

Bunyan Richard Johnson, 91, of Fort Stockton passed away on Sunday, Oct. 30, 2022. Born Dec. 16, 1930, in Old Glory, Texas to Bunyan Reese and Mary Lee (Towles) Johnson.
His early education began in Old Glory Texas, where he was a member of the Pirates basketball team playing guard. He graduated Valedictorian from Old Glory High School at the age of 16 in 1947.
After an extended illness, Billy James McGovern, 84 years old, passed from this earth into the loving arms of his savior, Jesus Christ on Oct. 29, 2022.
Prior to moving to Fort Stockton Billy served in the military for 6 years, three of which were in Germany. He was a resident of Fort Stockton for approximately 50 years and worked as an independent welder.
Jean Espy Everett (Nene) wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, a friend, and mentor to many, passed away peacefully on Oct. 28, 2022, surrounded by her family. Jean was born on March 9, 1939, in Fort Davis, Texas to Pansy and (Big) Jim Espy.
Betty Roberts Hargus passed away Oct. 18, 2022. She was born in Alpine, Texas, on June 12, 1939, to James Travis Roberts, Sr., and Annie Pauline Roberts. Betty was raised in Marathon, Texas, and grew up on the family ranch. She graduated from Sul Ross State University in Alpine. After college, she was an elementary teacher for Fort Stockton ISD, followed by bookkeeper and office manager for Hargus Aviation, Inc. She owned and managed cattle ranches until her death.
