On May 26, 2020, Antonia Galindo passed away in Dallas after a year-long battle with cancer. Antonia was born on May 10, 1945 in Boquilla de San Isidro, Mexico. She was married to Jose Galindo for 51 years. The couple has been a part of the Fort Stockton community for over 40 years. Visitation was held Thursday, May 28, 2020, at Heritage Funeral Home. The funeral service was held on Friday, May 29, 2020, at Our Lady of the Guadalupe Downtown Campus with burial at Fort Stockton Catholic Cemetery. more
Roland Adam Hook passed away in Prescott, AZ on May 25, 2020. Roland was born Jan. 25, 1931 in Maud, Oklahoma, the son of Earless Hook and Elizabeth (Wolf) Hook. In 1950, Roland was united in marriage with Lorilla (French) Hook, the love of his life and lifetime partner. Roland was the father of two children: Steven R. Hook of Corpus Christi, Texas, and Gloria Elaine Lee, deceased.  more
Nancy was born to Marguerite and John Brice Kuykendall on May 13, 1929, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She died May 20, 2020. Nancy taught Englishand was later a substitute teacher in the Fort Stockton ISD. Her husband, Fred, contracted the building of the Fine Arts Studios and resumed his profession as piano/organ teacher and technician. She was also a volunteer in the local public library. In the early 1980s she served as associate editor for the two-volume Pecos County History, published in 1985. Memorials may be made to the Fort Stockton Public Library. more

Miguel “Mike” F. Pacheco was born May 8, 1925 in Fort Stockton, Texas. He married Anita Casas in Fort Stockton at the Saint Joseph Catholic Church in 1940. Mike worked many years in construction and mechanics, but he was known locally for selling his produce around the area by going house to house. Alejandro Ramón González, known as “Alex” by most people throughout his life, was born on June 17, 1932, in Fort Stockton, Texas, the son of Manuel R. “M.R.” González, Sr., and Carmen Gutiérrez González. The Alex R. González Pecos County Judicial Building in Fort Stockton bears his name, in recognition of his many years of service to the community. Private services will be held in order to abide by the current social distancing guidelines suggested for the public. Arnold Dean Braden went to join the Lord on April 14, 2020. He was born on Jan. 26, 1951 in San Angelo, Texas. An active resident of Imperial, Texas he served as a Eucharistic Minister at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. He also served on the Imperial Volunteer Fire Department, Upper Pecos Soil and Water Conservation District Board, Pecos County Water Improvement District #2 Board, and began working in the oil industry. He throughout his life was farming and continued until he proudly served as Pecos County Justice of the Peace from 2002-2014. A private graveside service was held at Cedar Grove Cemetery in Sanderson with the Reverend Dick Zimmer officiating. A memorial service for both Mary Nell and Lavoy will be held at a later date at the First United Methodist Church. more
