The Pecos County Memorial Hospital (PCMH) and Fort Stockton Independent School District (FSISD) are working together to make sure students have the opportunity to receive their required vaccinations before school starts on Monday, Aug. 14.

The vaccination clinic will take place at the Family Care Center on the second floor of the hospital from 8-10 a.m. and from 1:30-3 p.m. Monday through Friday starting Monday, July 31 and ending Monday, Aug. 14.

If the child does not see a doctor affiliated with PCMH, their parent can make an appointment with their regular doctor or call Michelle Sullivan at (432) 336-2291 to set-up an appointment with a doctor from PCMH. FSISD campuses will be glad to share the student’s previous shot record that is on file with the parent. Please see the campus nurse where the child is scheduled to attend school.

The vaccinations required include: DPT (5 doses required with first dose administered by age 4; Tdap (required by age 11); POLIO (4 doses required with first dose administered by age 4); MMR (2 doses); HEPATITIS B (3 doses); HEPATITIS A (2 doses); VARICELLA Vaccine (2 doses); and MENINGOCOCCAL (2 doses – one at age 11 and one before age 16); HPV vaccine.

Pre-K students must also have these additional vaccinations: PNEUMOCOCCAL CONJUGATE Vaccine; and HIB (required before age 5).

FSISD students that are required to have physical examinations in order to participate in extra-curricular/UIL activities such as sports or band, and have not already completed this requirement, may also schedule a physical with a PCMH doctor by contacting Michelle Sullivan at (432) 336-2291.
