The Pecos County Senior Citizens Center will host its Spring Salad Luncheon this Friday, April 14, starting at noon at the Senior Center, located at 1010 W. 14th St. in Fort Stockton.

Potato salad, tuna salad, pasta salad and drinks will be provided but all attendees are asked to please bring a salad or a dessert of their own making.

The Senior Citizens Center is open to all Pecos County residents 50 and older, with dues only $5 per year. New members are welcome to sign up at the luncheon.

Regular activities include regular Skip Bo games, potluck luncheons, Memorial Day hot dog suppers, sing alongs and other events throughout the year.

“It’s a great way to get out of the house, meet new people and have a cool place to relax during the coming summer months,” Kirby Warnock said. “For younger folks, it’s a safe place for your parents, or grandparents that will keep them active during the daylight hours.”
