School Supply Cost Breakdown

Parents or guardians will pay the $20 fee per student for their supplies at the time of registration and an additional $30 for students sixth grade and up as a yearly insurance fee for their Chromebooks – which are given out starting in sixth grade.

Assistant Superintendent Gil-Rey Madrid explained that parents pay $30 a year for their students Chromebook starting in sixth grade and after they graduate high school the student gets to keep them. The total is $210 over a seven-year span ($30 a year, $2.50 a month).

If parents cannot afford the cost initially at time of registration, payment plans can be worked out by speaking with administrators at their student’s specific campus or the central office.

“What we do at schools if they say they can’t pay the $30 or $20, we’ll ask them what can they do and we’ll work with that,” he said.

Also, to note, the $20 for school supplies will cover each students specific needs at their respective campuses. Parents do not need to buy their students any supplies.
