Former FSPD sergeant charged with child sex crimes

A former Fort Stockton Police Sergeant was arrested June 16 and charged with alleged sex crimes against a child. Enrique Gonzalez Irigoyen, of Fort Stockton, was detained at 7:29 p.m. June 16 by the Texas Rangers and charged with two counts of indecency with a child and one count of aggravated sexual assault, all Pecos County warrants.
Each indecency with a child charge carries a bond of $15,000 and the aggravated sexual assault charge carries a $20,000 bond for a bond total of $50,000.
“The case has been referred to the prosecutor’s office,” said Fort Stockton Police Chief Ernest Velasquez, who added that the case was investigated by the Texas Rangers.
