City plans Veterans Day activities

Fort Stockton will join the rest of America in honoring our nation’s veterans on Nov. 11 with several activities. American Legion Post 234 will play host to its Annual Veterans Breakfast at 7 a.m. at Rooney Park’s Large Community Hall. The Legion invites all local and visiting veterans to the breakfast.

Fort Stockton Middle School will have its Veterans Program at 10:30 a.m. that day and, according to American Legion Commander Joni McGee, veterans are encouraged to attend the Program they have planned to honor our Veterans.

Visitors are asked to enter through the blue gym.

McGee thanked the Pecos County Commissioners Court, Fort Stockton Independent School District, KFST radio, Fort Stockton Pioneer, Fort Stockton City Council, Annie Riggs Museum Staff, Car-isma Carwash and all of citizens for their continued support of the military and veterans over the years.
