Fort Stockton Community Theatre will show the last three performances of Neil Simon’s “Barefoot in the Park” Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, July 28-30, at 7 p.m. at the Nelson Street Theatre, 102 South Nelson. Doors will open at 6:30 p.m., and tickets may be purchased at the door, cash or check, $15 for adults; $10 for seniors 65+ and students.

The comedy is directed by Alice Duerksen, and stars Jordan Ward and Garrett Huckaby as newlyweds Corie and Paul Bratter. Veteran actress Penny Smith plays Corie’s mother Ethel, and newcomer Marcos Mendoza makes his community theatre debut as loveable ne’er do well Victor Velasco.

Michael Shuttleworth returns to the stage as the telephone repairman, and Dean Duerksen has a cameo role as a deliveryman. Michele Huckaby is the stage manager, and Lauryn Calderon runs lights and sound.

Audiences at the Nelson Street Theatre have enjoyed watching Corie and Paul in their first six days of marriage and Ethel and Victor in their first six hours of friendship. Anyone who has been in love will enjoy watching young love and young-at-heart love develop.
