NEW OFFICERS IN TOWN

Tank battery complex destroyed in fire near Fort Stockton

No one was hurt or injured in Tuesday’s fire at a tank battery complex site eight miles east of Fort Stockton, just south of mile marker 266.

All six Fort Stockton Volunteer Fire Department fire trucks responded to a call at 1:32 p.m. on April 20 after multiple workers in the area witnessed the fire start.

Fort Stockton Fire Department Chief Jessie Dominguez noted the cause of the fire was unknown as workers did not have a visual on the tank at the time the fire started.
