November 1998 … future Fort Stockton head football coach Jeremy Hickman was named second team all-district for the 1998 season.

November 1999 … This mom and her daughter enjoyed Fort Stockton’s downtown Halloween festivities in 1999.

November 1998 … The Stars, a choir of Fort Stockton Intermediate School students directed by Gloria Espino, perform a medley of Patriotic American songs during last Thursday’s Thanksgiving Celebration in the intermediate school cafeteria. Fort Stockton senior citizens were the guests of honor at the celebration, and enjoyed a traditional Thanksgiving dinner in a colorfully-decorated setting, as well as the performance by the Stars. The celebration was a district-wide affair, with senior citizens joining the students for lunch on all the Fort Stockton school campuses.

November 1999 … Callie Hatcher (also known as Queen Amidala of Naboo) takes a break from a busy Saturday afternoon to enjoy a soda at the Happy Daze Restaurant and Soda Shop. Callie is the daughter of Jim Hatcher and Dr. Sheri Talley of Fort Stockton. She is one of the hundreds of people who Turned out for Downtown Halloween activities this past weekend.

November 1998 … Seventeen-month-old Kaylee Cope of Fort Stockton sinks her budding teeth in an ear of roasted corn during Living History Days 1998. Over the two days of the event, thousands of visitors, including school children from across West Texas, enjoyed a trip back in time on the grounds of Historic Fort Stockton.
