Sept. 2

The Fort Stockton High School volleyball program will host Permian on Friday, Sept. 2. Freshman and JV White will begin at 4 p.m., JV Blue and varsity will follow at 5 p.m.

Sept. 3

The O'Reilly Auto Parts Car Show will be held on Saturday, Sept. 3 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at their location - 1920 W. Dickinson Blvd. The show is free to enter.

Sept. 7

The First Presbyterian Church in Fort Stockton will hold its Back to School Picnic on Wednesday, Sept. 7 at 6:30 p.m. at Precinct No. 4 Park, located on the Imperial Highway. The address is 4427 FM-1053. The entire community is invited.  A very special invitation is extended to the new teachers, coaches, athletes, and to those who have no church home.

Sept. 23-24

The Reeves Memorial Cook-Off is scheduled for Friday, Sept. 23 and Saturday, Sept. 24. Friday will feature jackpot events (ribeye steak, salsa, margaritas) and Saturday will feature the State Championship Cookoff that features brisket and ribs. $20,000 in guaranteed prizes will be given out.

Oct. 1

Fall Fest will be held at the Fort Stockton Convention Center on Saturday, Oct. 1. Two bands will perform live. Vendors will be available.

Oct. 15

Oct. 28-29

The Horsehead Crossing Trails of Time living history event will take place on Friday, Oct. 28 and Saturday, Oct. 29. The location of the event is 12 miles northwest of Girvin on FM-11 (between Girvin and Imperial). Activities taking place include liven cannon fire re-enactors, chuck wagon meals, exhibitors, trail ride, historians and presenters, and chuck wagon contest.
